Combining Faith + Business

Combining Faith + Business

I was blessed to have the opportunity to attend the Women Pray For Women’s Women Prayer Breakfast, and it was such an enlightening occasion!

For their prayer breakfast, the organization had a motivational speaker and author Kachelle Kelly as the speaker. Kelly is the author of the hit book, Boss Women Pray, a book filled with prayers to increase the woman’s spirit through her business and everyday life.

Kelly shed light to a lot of great points, but one of the biggest things that she preached on was the power of combining faith with business. Some of the key takeaways that I got from the talk was:

When you can’t find something, create something.

God has a purpose for your life, and He wants you to fulfill the life that He has chosen for you. A verse that was referenced was Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Even when you think of your visions & dreams, God is already thinking, “I’m going to top that!

When God gives it to you He gives it to you!

There’s nothing that anyone can do for you to not receive the blessing that God has for you. God uses everything & everyone to do His purpose. He works everything out for your good. We are given divine moments but we keep missing it because we keep thinking that they’re supposed to be these grand jesters. You have to accept God’s will no matter what.

“For such a time as this”: what you don’t do God will give someone else to do

Trust God & He’ll do the work: you gotta dream & hustle. He can’t bless what you don’t do. Stop complaining where you wanna be & set up where you are now. He can’t bless you if you keep complaining. His plan is perfect. You keep worrying about tomorrow but not concentrating on the assignment that you have today. Get the lesson where you are today.

Be careful over the words that you speak about your life.

If you can’t speak life, then shut up! Be ok with complimenting yourself & other women. Stop being so envious & jealous. When you start feeling that way, God is giving you the idea of what you need to work on. When you start wishing on something, that’s God giving you that clarity that you can have that. He’s giving you that opportunity that you can obtain it.

It’s better for women to PRAY on one another instead of PREY on one another.

You need 3 types of friends:

A friend: a friend you look up to and who gives wise counsel. They’re busy so you make an appointment with them.

B friend: the friend that you do all your dirt with. Ride or die friend who if y’all break up you’ll have to kill them. No judgment.

C friend: a friend who sees you as an A friend. Tells all their business to you cries & is one-sided but that’s why you have B friend to vent to!
