Being the Queen of the Night

I’ve got the stuff that you want
I’ve got the thing that you need
I’ve got more than enough
To make you drop to your knees
‘Cause I’m the queen of the night

The classic 1992 movie, The Bodyguard, was iconic in so many ways. And one of those reasons was because of the singer Whitney Houston.

She brought out the character Rachel Marron: the tell-it-like-it-is singer who knew exactly what she wanted & how to get it. She demanded the respect that she deserved not just as an iconic superstar, but as a woman in love. Even though Frank; her bodyguard, denied their attraction to one another, she fit into whatever scenario to make him see that their undying love was true. & even though it wasn’t meant to be, it was good “to have loved, than to not love at all.”

In this issue, we wanted our Southern belles to embody the queens that they are in whatever capacity. We want them to strive in the workplace through tools & resources that’ll give them that extra boost to level up in their careers. & while they’re slaying professionally, they can look fabulous too while wearing the latest fall fashions. Of course, a woman’s go-to skincare product will give them that radiant skin that’ll have them glowing on the outside, & advice from dating & mindset experts will have them glowing from the inside as well.

Belles need to claim their thrones & thrive in their realms of the night, where they know what they bring to the table & won’t settle for less.
