Louisiana, get ready to celebrate women businesses!
Opulent Productions, LLC in New Orleans is hosting an awards show, honoring local woman-owned businesses on Saturday, January 25 at the Historic Carver Theater.
The Inaugural Women Mean Business Awards Show shares its vision this year with “HER Dreams in Focus, recognizing the talented and hard-working local women who are making a difference in their communities in the city of New Orleans. The awards ceremony will take place at 7pm, with a red carpet event before at 6:30pm.
The owner of the production company, Orion Prater-Phillips, is excited to showcase some of the women in New Orleans who deserve the recognition. She said of the event, “There will be over 40 businesses represented across 20 categories, as well as 12 vendors on display, and special performances. There will even be a guest appearance by New Orleans’s first Black woman wine owner, Keimyereia Lewis Jones.” Phillips encourages everyone to attend, “While this event may be called ‘Women Means Business’, this isn’t just for the ladies. Men are more than welcome to come and enjoy the event.”
